Find Cheap Local Bargains on eBay

3 Piece Leather Suite for £25? A brand new Mountain Bike for £15? An Ikea wall unit worth £130 for a tenner?

A 1993 BMW for £45!!

Many people use eBay to sell large and bulky household items that are not practical to post, which means their buying market is reduced and therefore less bids are received. Not only that but some sellers accidently list items without postage options.

This is quite a handy tool for finding bargains local to you. Click on a link near to you and then just change the postcode, milage and price on the left hand side in eBay.

http://www.powersellersforum.com/localbargains/

It will work exactly the same for eBay.com and other country sites

Argos and Comet Catalogue Returns - Secret Wholesale Websites

There a few people on eBay making some money by selling 'Secret Information' on how to get cheap goods from Argos and Comet.

Here's some sales on eBay

All they are selling are these two links...

http://www.argosclearance.co.uk

http://www.clearance-comet.co.uk

For the Argos site you will need to register and then bid on customer returns at their distribution HQ at Daventry, Northants.

Argos staff will load pallet(s) of items that have been returned by customers onto your vehicle, so you'll probably need a van I think. They sell anything and everything that is in the catalogue that has been returned so there is a good chance you could pick up some good wholesale bargains

The Comet site is a bit different in that they only sell single items at a time which include New, boxed & end of line, Ex-display, Scratched and dented, Used and returned or Refurbished. You'll need to register for this as well but there are definitely some bargains to be had...

Anyway, hope someone finds this useful or at least saves a couple of quid buying these 'Top Secret' links.

Radio One Big Weekend in Preston Tickets

Radio 1 gave 35,000 free tickets away to their Big Weekend festival in Preston but with demand far outstripping supply they've been fetching up to £400 a pair on eBay, much to some people's chagrin.

There is supposed to be an ID check at the gates to corroborate that ticket holders are the genuine ballot winners but enterprising sellers will also include a utility bill of their own to get round this... not a bad profit.

Full story is here.

Vintage Tennis Clothing - 80s and 90s

As the summer months roll in and people dig out their tennis rackets, retro tennis gear gets popular again. And where else to buy it but eBay? We've mentioned the old Bjorn Borg Fila track tops fetching well over £100 before but this Puma Boris Becker bag caught our eye too. Also worth looking out for is the Nike range of Agassi clothing, which has really picked up in prices since he retired. Another good seller is the Ivan Lendl range of Adidas equipment. Some of this was released as a retro re-issue a couple of years ago, which also still attract high prices.

Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum

Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Beauty SerumWomen have been going mad for this cream since it was featured on BBC’s Horizon programme where independent scientists claimed it was just as effective as brands 4 times the price.

We’ve no idea what it actually does apart from making you look younger or something but we do know that it’s being sold in Boots for £16.75 for a 30ml bottle and being snapped up on eBay for between £25 and £35.

Apparently some branches of Boots are limiting it to one bottle per customer – not sure if you can just keep going back though?

Kate Moss TopShop Collection Launches Tomorrow

Kate Moss TopShop CollectionKate Moss will spark a high-street sales frenzy when she launches her controversial fashion range tomorrow (May 1st). Customers are expected to queue outside the retailer's flagship store in Oxford Street and fashion experts predict the national launch will see the clothes selling out in record time.

We’re no fashion experts but we’re predicting that they’ll go straight on eBay and fetch far higher prices than in store to all those people who want the items straight away and can’t be bothered to queue or to those people who live no where near a TopShop or even abroad.

The collection is made up of 50 designs priced from £12 for a vest top to £150 for a cropped leather jacket. It also includes skinny jeans, one-shoulder mini dresses and T-shirts with the letter K woven in.

Apparently shoppers will be limited buying only five pieces each to prevent the clothes being quickly sold on auction sites.

If this is anything like some of the H&M’s celebrity ranges and with Kate’s iconic status in the UK we reckon some of this gear could start going for at lest treble the price…
